Description I often see people struggeling with details of their fursuit-craftings, and even wonderful finished suits with details that in my eyes ruin or lower the visual effect. Therefore I want to write down some of these details, and how to improve them.

This is only my opinion! I know that the other techniques I don't like often have reasons why they are used. I prefer a good look instead of better movement and durability, and rather like to think of ways that look good AND are flexible and dureable.

i think when they said glue they meant hot glue. It gets SUPER Messy and its really on recommended for certain parts that make need it otherwise people usually sew it together. Using hot glue to put ears and other stuff together works though

never glue your fur together... looks like crap... i know because the first time i tried to put multiple colors on a head, i glued the fur together. absolutely horrific. do not try this.

Read all the comments on this thread please, before doing this. Beetlecat herself says the best way is a combo of the two. There are pros and cons. :3 Sewing is more durable and if you sew edge to edge it should work without much bumpiness, plus glue just won't cut it with minky or fleece.

what if you want to sew the mask still, so that nothing rips off? Is there still a good way to do that?

Since everything is glued on it won't rip, but of course you can swe the pieces together

I personally recommend hand sewing them, the seams are very small and on 90% of foam bases are never seen. Also I would not recommend gluing the seams, that leaves very hard (almost crusty!) ridges. But that is just my opinions on it. There are as many ways to make a fursuit as there are makers. XD

That's what I though X'D
I've never hand sewn them (just machine) so I'll have to try that next time on my resin base!

oh yes! unlike machine sewing you don't need as much margin. So yes there will still be a bump, but not as bad of one. like not visible, but you can feel it sometimes on the short stuff. It's also not something I have ever heard a child complain about. haha
