Description The dip pen strikes back! This is my second attempt at using a dip pen, this time on better paper. I quickly coloured it as well.

By dip pen, do mean a nib? Or is it something else. And for better paper are you using Bristol Board? I'm trying something similar and am having difficulty with the ink soaking into the normal paper.
Any ways I love the scarlet spider's design and I think you did a great job with the pose and the shading and coloring. What did you use to color by any chance.

Yeah i meant nib i'm not great with it yet but it does give a bit of line variance which i like. You can use bristol board or paper for marker pens. I coloured it quickly on photoshop, just laid down flat colours then lasso'd some shadows and highlights.

Yeah that's how I color as well. Magnetic lasso all the way. But I tried using the nib on normal paper and it just bled everywhere. I do want some heavy duty markers though.
