Description This probably doesn't look like much, but to me, this is a very strong favorite of mine in my marker pointillism. Mostly because I got such a highly defined pointillism in a very tiny space.

2nd and final art trade with who simply requested A steel type Pokemon. Left it up to me to choose. I took the ghost type option literally and did Banette, a pure ghost type for the first trade but that was not so good an option here.

From what I can tell, there're only like 2 pure steel type Pokemon that I can find, Mawile and Registeel. Am I missing something? If that's true, Game Freak needs to add more of them rather then so many damn generic water-type fish Pokemon.

Anyways, enjoy!

Anytime I see stippling, I have so much admiration for the artist's patience. You did a wonderful job on the steelix here, just the right colors in just the right places. And since steelix seems like a hard choice to draw, I have to say, I'm impressed at how true-to-pokemon it looks! XD Great job!

Wow, thanks for the wonderful comment.

Considering my staple fanart works tends to reinvent Pokemon.

I have to ask, how long did it take you to get so good at stippling? I can't stand it, and doubt I'll ever have the patience.

Well, I already had a strong background in coloring in colored pencil, which I feel at times takes more patience then this. I just started doing this style because I was too lazy to learn how to blend in marker and I wanted to put my markers I bought for no apparent years ago to use.

So while this only took a few months to develope the style, I came from a strong traditional art background in coloring and shading. Plus having a large selection of colors to choose from is very critical to this style.

Well, there aren't any pure Flying types, so that's got Steel beat out in the dual types department. D:
