I was going for 1960's Italy, and I wanted her to look like she just stepped off a Vespa in Venice. Italians are known for their fine dress, even for doing ordinary tasks, and Aria is sporting some fairly fancy frippery. And there are actually populations of redheaded Italians, I was happy to find out .

She has silk undies, a silk and cotton underskirt with angel lace, and a hand-painted silk skirt tied with silk ribbon (original post here: gaernavi.deviantart.com/art/Si… ) as well as little Birkenstock shoes (gaernavi.deviantart.com/art/Mi… ). Her top is green satin with black lining, and she has a real pearl necklace. Her hair is Tibetan lambswool in a removable wig (which I could have styled better but I was in a hurry).

Aria stands about 4 inches tall and is in 1:12 scale for a dollhouse. Her name translates to "Night's Song," or "Wind's Song."
