Description Inspired by the culture of Spain, these spooky silver earrings feature bats and roses on a Gothic arch among flashes of dark red. Sangria means "blood", and vampire or not, I hope you start hearing a soulful flamenco guitar when you put these on. You can find them in my etsy shop: [link]

Bats are old heraldic symbols in Spain for royalty, and vibrant roses brought centuries ago by the Moors are found in many an Andalucian garden today. I also wanted to capture the color of the famous drink. The stones include vintage 2mm garnet-colored glass cabochons from Germany, as well as real briolette-cut garnets to harken back to an older time.

The earring wires and links are nickel-free silver-coated brass, and the central design is made of pure silver. I made each rose, leaf, and bat by hand in polymer clay before making a silicone mold for the silver. You can see an in progress photo here: [link]
