Description Remember when Buford revealed that Isabella's dress is also a goat costume inside out? I do. And I think about it a lot. You can consider this a sequel to this picture , though the two aren't connected in any way, shape, or form beyond the characters in question wearing animal costumes for some reason. It probably is, however, a sequel to this picture

Before you ask why Isabella would subject herself to this...I have no idea. I just wanted to draw her in the goat costume cuz I thought it would be funny/cute.

Phineas and Ferb belongs to Dan Povenmire and Swampy Marsh

I kinda wonder if Isabella would look even cuter if she was wearing both the goat costume & her dress over that

To be fair Isabella has dressed up as Ferb in one of the comics so I can see her doing this. XD

Also yes there Phineas and Ferb comics. There's the ones from the magazines as well as the comic collection they released a few years ago.

Galaxina-the-Magi In reply to aalberts36 [2019-10-31 16:15:01 +0000 UTC]

Because, as Buford revealed in La Candace Cabra, when you pull her dress inside out it becomes a goat costume.

Drat. -_-

Okay. So. Basically what happened in the episode, which Isabella was absent in because she was visiting family in New Mexico, is that she allowed Buford to take her place for the time being. As in, he was allowed to use her catchphrase. Buford took it a step further by COSPLAYING as her. Wearing her dress and a wig and everything. At one point, the group questioned where they were going to get a goat to lure out the chupacabra they were hunting, and Buford pulls the dress inside out and reveals that it doubles AS a goat costume.

Not sure which is worse, Buford dressing as Isabella or Buford dressing as Susie Johnson.

I say as Susie Johnson. That was the stuff of nightmares.

Because at least Isabella has a good attitude to go with her cuteness.  Susie may look cute, but inside she's a bit rotten, especially towards Candace.

That...and Susie looks even girlier than Isabella does. Isabella looks like a NORMAL girl - watermelon head aside, she's pretty standard as far as girl designs go. Part of what makes Isabella appealing to me is that she's NOT actually a tomboy, nor is she a girly girl - she's just a girl. And girls are interested in multiple things (which, no matter WHAT my sister says, really shows in the Fireside Girls thing and what they do to earn patches). The show never did an episode that demonized girl stuff, nor did the show do anything to push girly agenda in your face, save for maybe the Boy vs Girl episodes (how I wish they did move Isabella vs Buford episodes, so that we could've gotten a chance for BUFORD to win over Isabella), though even those were likable due to the fact that Buford was the only one who was bringing gender into the equation - Isabella may have said that "it could be the biggest game in the world, and girls could still beat boys", but she never said boys couldn't beat girls. Just that girls could beat boys. I feel like the message could've been stronger if BUFORD actually won, and Isabella took it in stride - or perhaps let her win that episode, cuz honestly that episode was fine, and have Buford win another conflict. But yeah - Isabella's a great girl character, because she's not just a girl character - she's a girl character who's ACTUALLY a girl, instead of a stereotype of a girl. She likes pink, and NO ONE tells her it's stereotypical of her. She likes dolls, and no one tells her she's wrong for it. She's cute and she flaunts it, and NO ONE thinks less of her for it. And at the same time, she can change her cute voice to sound more low and masculine, is badass, tough, and can still keep up with the boys without having to tell everyone she's superior to them like SO MANY other female characters with a similar role to her have done.

But SUSIE? He design is specifically girlier than Isabella's. The pigtails, the wide skirt, the glossy eyes, the socks and flats - with Isabella's design, you just need to change the color of her outfit, shorten her hair, get rid of the bow, and change the bottom half of her dress and you get a masculine look with barely any changes; the shoes can even stay virtually the same other than the color. With Susie, you need to redesign her entirely. She's supposed to look this girly to come across as demure. So to see BUFORD wear such a girly attire is much more disturbing than seeing him wear Isabella's.

Yes. Yes, you did.

Mind you, I love tomboy characters as much as the next person, and independent women done right is a must, but people tend to forget that girls are...girls. XD With their own interests that don't have to just be linked to certain things. We love sports, we love videogames, but we also happen to like things boys don't like, too.

Galaxina-the-Magi In reply to aalberts36 [2019-11-03 06:05:23 +0000 UTC]

And it's almost as if you don't have to turn women into a badass and ONLY a badass in order to make them interesting.

NOTE: Badass women are badass - except for the ones that have little to no personality. Like Marvel. Like, serious, Ms. Marvel has more personality and intrigue than Captain Marvel, how does THAT make sense?
