I finally have some professional shots of my Argonian cosplay! A huge shoutout to Kendall Belopavlovich for taking the time to travel to a desired location and shoot some epic photos of Ryu the Argonian! I intend on uploading more photos soon, so stay posted! Ryu the Argonian is my avatar from the Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. I wanted something that said "Skyrim Argonian" yet "original character."

Approximately 800 hours of work and $500 worth of materials went into creating this character. He was started in August of 2017 and finished in July 2018. The outfit features an articulated jaw, blinking eyes (which had to be sacrificed for my own comfort), approximately 7" stilts, articulated tail, lizard hands, "follow-me" eyes, and a variety of natural props (animal skulls, feet, horns, and herbs/spices). This was my first time attempting anything this large, and despite the outfit being a bit toasty and uncomfortable, I am very happy with the outcome.

I'd like to give a huge shout-out to the con staff staff for their hard work and effort to make sure that I was as comfortable as possible while wearing my outfit. They were always at my side to fetch me a cup of water or cool me down. An extra shout-out to the two staff guys at the very end who carried me across the crowd in order to make it to photos, too, when my leg broke (my Argonian leg, not my actual leg). Now I can say I truly body-surfed in my Argonian cosplay!

And, last but certainly not least, a huge shout-out to my mom for sacrificing her time to follow me around, help me get dressed/undressed, and simply be there to support me throughout all of this. Without her, I would not have been able to maneuver around the convention. <3

It's been a great run this year and I am absolutely honored to have won Best in Show. I do plan to compete in the future, and I have ambitious plans for the next outfit. Stay tuned for future updates!
