Description

The South Kalos leak is an infamous fake leak that came out in early 2016 after Magearna was revealed and before Sun and Moon were revealed. In this series, I'll make each of these slots real one way or another - If one idea is already done in the modern games, I'll do my own creative take on it. Maybe I'll throw in some 'mons of my own that aren't in that fake leak to help add more to Kalos' faults.

After completing the Looker post-game event, going into the Looker Bureau you'll see a small recording left on the coffee table. downloading this recording to your Holo Caster has this message from Xerosic.

-Begin Transmission-
"Sorry I couldn't speak to you in person, I have to go to the trial after all I've done.
But I feel like with the bond with your Pokemon and experience with that legend you caught from OUR dirty hands - i should confess this to you since it might interest a strong trainer like you."
"After you got to our headquarters and happily activated the weapon, I boasted to that old king before I released him - since we got his key and all. Mostly it's on how we were able to get Xerneas(X)/Yveltal(Y) to do our bidding without having to awaken it."
"But he looked at me straight in the eye and said he did that once, as he also used a legendary Pokemon to power the ultimate weapon way back then - since it's made of a tree's branches to resemble his Pokemon."
"Two things threw me off there when he said that that left me thinking:
1. What kind of tree has branches made of a strong crystalline substance?
and 2. There was another legendary that was used?"
"He did reply to the ladder that he used a Pokemon called 'Yveltal'(X)/'Xerneas'(Y) to channel it's power into the ultimate weapon. After he used the weapon to it's entirety he did see the legendary Pokemon collapsed after using up it's power."
"So that would be a good reason to be mopey all the time, I'd be upset if my little Malamar got hurt!"
"But anyways, after I talked to Looker about what happened, my scanners all the way back in the control room picked up energy similar to the legendary Pokemon - but they're very different from Xerneas(X)/Yveltal(Y)."
"Could this be that other one, whatever it was I unlocked and opened the door for you to go through the secret HQ again, albeit in a crummy shape after what happened."
"Best of luck to you in your endeavors... [Player Name]."

While exploring the ruins of the HQ, devoid of any trainers - but with just the same feeling like you're being watched all the time, you make it to where you caught the legendary Pokemon during your story - oddly enough with no Lysandre in sight. The same button that you pressed long ago blinks once more, knowing that the machine can't run anymore and the feeling still being on you, you press it out of curiousity and...

-Xerneas challenges you! (like the Bloodmoon Ursaluna fight)-

Infinite Life Xerneas is a nightmareish beast that haunted the lands of Kalos for 3'000 years, thought to have been a tall tale to scare children to sleep it is proven to be real and alive - albeit this Boss Form of Xerneas has changed drastically...

Many years ago, both Xerneas and Yveltal supposedly kept the balance of life and death in check with their powers, when AZ came to the Apex Forest in South Kalos to gather materials for a powerful weapon.
He hacked away at the biggest tree to make the ultimate weapon, since it's branches were quite familiar to him. He also got the legendary Pokemon Xerneas to help fuel his machine, as the tree's branches acted as good conduits of that power.
Once the Legendary Pokemon was sucked dry of it's powers, he hid the ultimate weapon and the body of the legendary Pokemon away.
However, Xerneas got back up after the king left - the Pokemon was tired and desired to reclaim it's power back no matter the cause. So, it adapted to a predatory lifestyle to get it's life energy back - albeit it changed as a result over time. whether the tale of balance was real or not - it now felt like a partner to the currently dormant Yveltal rather than a rival.
This form of Xerneas is based on the concept of Infinite Life and it's tolls on the mind - as Xerneas is stuck being alive and wants to stop it's ravenous behavior in the most horrible ways possible, only to be completely fine and live on with it's monsterous instincts and broken mind. It's physique now resembles the typical wendigo . The design is also partly based on RGreywind's depiction of a Mega Xerneas on Twitter (x) .

Instead of it's Life energy being given, it's used constantly on it's self with no control lorewise. Gameplay wise, it's basically just a Xerneas with more of a focus on it's Attack and Speed instead of Attacks and HP (wait why does Regular Xerneas's signature move do 2 quiver dances if it has 131 base attack?)

"The horns it once weilded many colors has now faded away and broke apart, as an incident from thousands of years ago hardwired it's powers to heal itself rather than others. This obviously broke the Xerneas's mind as it's reverted back to predatory instincts."

Fitting with it's personality and stat change, it's new signature move fits with it's sweeping nature. Geomancy would also get it's PP reduced to 5 in this fan project if it's ever made into a game - since one use is already good enough.
