Flames are pretty easy. Slap an orange down for your base, and then screen with the same color. I usually use an orange that has a pretty high saturation.

Thanks. I think its a subconcious thing with myself... I have a Ghost Rider practice I have pretty much abandoned due to the fact I just get so terribly bored whilst rendering the flames, it seems to take me forever. I'll try and loosen up about it and give it another shot

If it was hi rez lineart, it wouldn't have been a quickie. I woulda spent a lot more time defining the flames.
