I've recently started my second cycle of watching Farscape, and I must say that it hasn't really held up well for me - except for Claudia, who's still one of my top-five hot sc-fi ass-kickers! Beautiful portrait.

You hadda ask! Just killed my evening... Well, let's see:
* Sigourney Weaver is a natural; hall-of-famer, really - maybe the first (and best) portrayal of a real, strong female character in sci-fi.
* I love Jessica Alba; I'm also re-watching Dark Angel, these days, and she is NOT a very good actress - but she was just perfect in that role!
* Milla Jovovoich - for all her body of sci-fi work.
* Claudia Black - yeah, too cool for school-hot. She's in.
Now, that last spot...
I love Lucy Lawless - but she didn't really do any ass-kicking in BSG, and Xena is fantasy, right?
Grace park was my favorite BSG gal (Thrace - way too effed-up! Plus she smoked), but it somehow doesn't feel to have enough weight...
Neither does Rebecca Romijn's fantastic role in the X-Men movies...
I loved Dina Meyer in Starship Troopers (good turn in Birds of Prey, too) - but this only gets her into the top ten.
...where we also find Carrie-Anne Moss. This has been a long-standing bone of contention between my best mate and myself - he's crazy in love with her, I think she's OK...
Which leaves us with the Whedon girls. As a rule, he likes his women way waifier, younger and/or nuttier than do I - which leaves out SMG, Dushku & Glau. So, for my last spot on the top 5 ass-kicking women in sci-fi, I'm going with his one real woman character -
* Ginna Torres!! Warrior woman, wife and general hottie.

A damn fine list indeed,and if I may throw in my two cents worth if we are talking ass-kicking women in sci-fi I would have to add Linda Hamilton as Sarah Conner.
Maybe the only other actress that could stand toe to toe with the Weaver.

Hopefully you'll do one of Claudia Black in Stargate SG-1. Commandant Grazer from Farscape is also kind of sexy and creepy looking.

Claudia is always on my to do list,Im a huge Farscape fan.I never got into Stargate,difficult if you don't have Sky,when did Claudia first appear I'll start from there.

She wore a lot of leather early on like her Farscape character, then moved on to more sensible/boring attire later.
Of course theres always Aeryn's mother Xhalax Sun, not very attractive but maybe an interesting character to paint with those horrible scars.
