Age: 15
birthday: 24 October 2xxx
Gender: Male
Height: 5'10"
Weight: 66 kg
Blood type: A
Nationality: Japanese
Sexuality: Heterosexual
Personality:
[+] Kind | Observant | Strong sense of justice | Meticulous | Strong Mentality
Taiga is seen as a ruffian but when you actually get to interact with him, he's an all round nice person. He's very polite and well-spoken. Taiga also has very keen senses. He notices minor details in people and objects and reacts accordingly to the situation. It'd be easy for him to tell whether something isn't right and won't hesitate to fix it. His justice complex also stands out, acting like a seigi no mikata or Ally of Justice, regarding himself as aligned with good and agaisnt evil as if he were a protagonist from a children's TV show. Taiga also tends to be very focused in whatever he does, to the point where he would do his best to achieve true perfection. Taiga's a smart kid too. You'll find that it isn't easy to trick him or think he'll be put down by a few words of discouragement. At this point, most insults that are considered to be really mean or hurtful just dont affect him anymore.
[-] Self-righteous | Volatile | Hides his feelings | Gloomy/Depressed | Cynical
Taiga can be self-righteous at times, thinking that his way is the right one even as to being impudent to others about it. He cares little for the opinions of those he deems evil. On top of that, Taiga tends to be quite unpredictable. He doesn't seem like the type of person to go on a batshit rampage but at the same time he may. The worst case scenario is if he gets angry. He loses all normal sense of direction and goes into a blind rage. He can still tell friend from foe but he'll lose himself in his rage that the line becomes blurred on whether he's a hero of justice or a villain of evil. On top of all of that, Taiga is hesitant to show his true emotions to other people, especially to the ones he doesn't know personally. He feels it's better to just bottle up his sad emotions than to open up to others because it's less of a hassle to himself and them too. Less drama also equals less problems. Taiga tends to be easily depressed too. He doesn't show this side of him to anyone except a certain few because he's always keeping up a facade to hide away his real problems but on the inside, Taiga really resents himself and thinks he's just causing trouble for everyone. After all, who'd wanna be friends with someone like him, right? After years of harassment, he's built this cynical view towards the general public excluding a special few like family and close friends. People don't like him, so why should he like them back? This is the darkest part of Taiga's personality and it poses the biggest challenge to him being a hero.
History: [ Alcohol and mild-violence warning]
Father's name: Araki Ishida (aka Horns) Quirk: Metal Absorption/molding
Mother's name: Park Hyo-Rin Quirk: Disassembly/Reassembly
(Parents info)
Ishida was a villain in his youth(18 y/o). He wasn't a very popular villain but was part of a Villain Mafia that was infamous in name. They were known as 'Black Goat'. The members of this mafia were recognizable by their goat motif tattoos, usually around their neck area or their hands.
Ishida met with Hyo-Rin at a bar. They were both 22 at the time. Ishida was handling debt collecting while Hyo-Rin was drinking with her friends. They began talking when Ishida offered to buy her a drink and things just flew off from there. They've been going out with each other for months and Ishida eventually told her about his true self. She didn't mind that Ishida was part of a big time mafia group, she loved him too much to care and maybe a little part of her wishes that he'll change in the future. Of course Ishida couldn't do that, once you're in you can't get out. They both couldn't leave each other and decided to get married in secret. Not long after that, Hyo-Rin became pregnant while Ishida was away for a 'job'.
The job was a high risk high reward type. The Black Goats were to complete an arms deal with a sister group from Korea. It turns out that the sister group they were supposed to meet up with were being followed by the authorities along with some pro heroes. The Black Goats were apprehended after 40 long years of being an active Mafia group. Ishida was arrested and was sent to prison with the other members. Since Ishida wasn't a core member, they couldn't really prove him of much crime but he was still guilty for being affiliated with The Black Goats. Ishida was locked up for 5 years. By the time Ishida was released, Taiga had already been born and was able to walk and speak. Taiga was 5 years old when he met his father for the first time.
(Early Life)
It was a strange feeling for Taiga to meet a man he's never met before and to be told that that was his father. Even at home, Taiga addressed him in a formal tone unlike most kids his age who would call their dads Papa or the like. Even though he was only 5, he still didn't feel comfortable enough to open up to his father. He was very shy around Ishida compared to his mother. It didn't help that Ishida had to go job hunting since the mafia was disbanded and they had no income. Hyo-Rin already had a part time job as a beautician at a nearby salon. All their savings had nearly depleted just to pay the bills and feed Hyo-Rin and Taiga within those 5 years. It was extremely hard for Ishida to find a stable job because of his past criminal record and bad reputation. He switched between odd jobs just about every week. All the while having to deal with the nasty neighbors of their new neighborhood. The neighborhood kids would avoid Taiga and sometimes even call him out and make fun of him. He wasn't very affected by them because Hyo-Rin always tells him that even if the world bends and goes against him, his mother will always be there to protect him.
However, things just got worse from there on out. People had begun to vandalize their property. The front door to their flat would have graffiti on it, their car would often get scratched up, loud banging on the windows from rocks or pebbles getting thrown at them at night and the like. Moreover, Ishida's inability to keep a stable job really stressed him out and he started to drink excessively. He'd come home late in the night pissed drunk and argue with Hyo-Rin for no valid reason. Taiga would stay up all night due to the noise his parents were making when they argue. Sometimes the only way he could get some sleep was to use earplugs and cover his ears with a pillow while crying himself to sleep. Hyo-Rin would also sometimes kick Ishida out of the house from time to time because she couldn't handle arguing with him anymore. It usually didn't last very long because Ishida always kept saying that he'd change even though he never does. The cycle continues to repeat because Hyo-Rin still had some hope in him that Ishida would change for the better one day.
One night, Taiga woke up to the sound of his parents fighting again. They were arguing about getting a divorce because Hyo-Rin couldn't handle this kind of treatment any longer. This time there were louder noises. Sounds of smashing wood and breaking glass. Taiga walked outside to see his mother being strangled by his dad. At that point Taiga already had enough and lost it. At the same time his quirk awakened and he shot out bundles of metallic fibers from his hands to smack Ishida away from Hyo-Rin. As his mother was gasping for air and trying to seize the situation, Taiga ran up screaming to his dad who was groaning in pain on the floor. Taiga created denser bundles to form a whip and began lashing his father's face and back. The anger and crying blocked out the voice of his mother who was calling out to him to stop beating on his own father because Ishida had already become uncinscious. Hyo-Rin ran to Taiga and hugged him from behind to snap him out of his blind rage. Taiga eventually calmed down and fainted from overusing his quirk on his first time. His skin was also bleeding and was irritated due to the over-usage of his quirk and its drawbacks. Shortly after, Hyo-Rin called the police and the ambulance. Taiga and Ishida were taken to the hospital on different ambulances. The police questioned Hyo-Rin about the whole situation and she explained that Taiga had attacked his father with his newly acquired quirk to protect her. It took a few weeks before the whole thing was settled. In the end Hyo-Rin took full custody of Taiga and they moved in with her parents. Ishida was detained for a few months and released on parol. He was not allowed visiting rights and had a restraining order placed on him not to get near Hyo-Rin and Taiga. Ishida was also put into rehab to better fix his drinking and anger issues.
(Early-Late Childhood)
Now that Taiga and his mom moved in with his grandparents, Hyo-Rin was able to work full-time to try to earn a more sustainable living for the both of them. In the meantime, Taiga was being taken care off by his Grandparents. They were a Mixed Japanese-Korean couple that had migrated to Japan in the early 60's. His grandfather was Japanese and His grandmother was Korean. Taiga grew up in a mixed-cultural environment and learned a little bit of both during his childhood but leaned more to Japanese culture due to their location of living. From an early age, Taiga learned to read and write a little bit in korean as well as speak a few simple words and sentences. His Grandparents also taught him how to cook and clean in the house so that he would cause less trouble for Hyo-Rin as she was becoming a lot busier lately. His grandparents were very nice people and they resented Ishida for giving Taiga and Hyo-Rin such a hard life. They weren't too keen on their marriage in the first place either. Sometimes when Hyo-Rin comes back from work to have dinner prepared by them, Taiga's grandfather would mouth off about how he told her so and that he was right about Ishida but Taiga always found a way to avert the topic since he didn't really feel comfortable talking about his dad like that. Taiga talks with his mom a lot about what happened that night and he always says that he's been keeping his temper under control all while training his quirk control so that he wouldn't accidentally misuse it again. His mom lectures him a lot on how his quirk is pretty dangerous if he misuses it and that he must never walk the same path his father did because it would not only hurt him but the ones around him as well.
When Taiga started Junior High, he was reunited with some of the kids from his old neighbourhood. He explained to them about his current situation and that he would very much like to start over with them and befriend them too. The other kids were already mature enough to think for themselves and know the error in their ways back then. They apologized to Taiga and requested that he also tell his mom that they apologized to her as well. Taiga was happy that he was able to make peace with them but they didn't really feel the same way about Taiga. They heard about the incident that happened that night all those years ago and were scared of Taiga, afraid that he might go berzerk again. During P.E. Taiga's classmates would avoid passing the ball to him during basketball or soccer and he would usually be picked last or not picked at all because they didn't want a demon in their team. Taiga was saddened because he had thought that they finally accepted him after all this time. Even so, he didn't get mad, he just became more secluded to himself and didn't talk to any of the other kids unless he really had to like if they were having a class project.
One of the kids noticed this and approached Taiga. The boy introduced himself as Takafumi Kenta. Taiga was a bit astonished that this boy was brave enough to introduce himself to this Demon. "Aren't you scared?" Taiga asks him and Kenta replied instantly by shaking his head in disagreement. They became friends shortly after that. Kenta was Taiga's only friend despite knowing about Taiga's past. Kenta said that he didn't care about what happened, it was self defense after all. Kenta added that what happened in the past happened and we can't do anything to change it, but it didnt define who you are as a person and who you could be in the future. Kenta always cheered Taiga up whenever he felt down. They became very close by the final year of Junior High. Kenta had been getting harassed by the other kids for a while for being friends with Taiga. They called him 'Demon's Pet' most of the time but Kenta always ignored it. He fought back sometimes but never to the point where they'd get into a fight until the last semester of their final year of Junior High. All this time Kenta had kept it a secret that he was being bullied by the other kids for sympathizing with Taiga because he knew Taiga's just nature wouldnt allow him to sit idly by and not to mention it'll make himself feel like it's his fault that Kenta is getting bullied.
Unfortunately, the Kenta's secret was later found out when Kenta didn't show up at their usual hangout spot after school which was at the school's Koi fish Pond. Taiga saw Kenta getting beat up behind the school by a bunch of kids from the other classes. Taiga didn't understand why they were doing it but he ran in to protect Kenta anyway. Taiga used his quirk to create a barricade to separate the other guys from Kenta. Kenta told him to stay away and that it was a personal issue but of course Taiga didn't buy it and he stood in front of Kenta anyways. Kenta was too badly hurt to get up and do anything about the situation. The other kids were shaken at first because Taiga used his quirk and it was the first time they were seeing it. "The Demon's here, let's make a break for it!" they cried out at first but seeing that Taiga was only on the defensive they felt a spark of confidence to fight back. "Araki's a wimp- He won't attack us!" Said one of the other kids. He then fired his quirk at Taiga who at the time was trying to pick Kenta up and run. "Watch out!" Kenta cried out using what little ounce of strength he had left to push Taiga out of the way. The attack hit Kenta instead. Taiga cried out Kenta's name as Kenta was groaning in pain. Taiga's attention turned to the other group. Pissed off, he started to release more metallic fibers, shaping them into pikes and aiming them at the other kids. Even after all that, Kenta still managed to get in a few last words before passing out. He said "Don't become what you don't wanna be most.. Don't prove them right,". Those words instantly made Taiga remember his father who never thought straight- always knee deep in empty alcohol bottles. It made him remember about what his mom said to him so long ago. Taiga retracted his metallic fibers and calmed down. The kids laughed at him and started to kick and pommel him to the ground too.
The next week, Taiga realized that Kenta hadn't been coming to school. He was a little worried and thought maybe it was because of what happened. He wrote it off as nothing and proceeded with school as usual. Then a month had passed and Kenta still hadn't been coming to school. Taiga became even more worried and he even ran over to Kenta's house after school just to check up on him to realize that the house had been occupied by some new tenants. They told him that the Takafumis had moved out a while ago. Taiga was in shock. His legs felt weak and he dropped to the ground. Why didn't Kenta say anything to him? Not even an email or anything. When one the new tenant asked Taiga for his name, Taiga answered and gave the tenant a wide eyed-expression. He ran inside and came back outside holding what looked to be like a letter. They said they found it taped to the wall of one of the rooms with Kanji written on the envelope. The Kanji written on the letter was Taiga's name so they assumed the letter was for him. Taiga thanked the nice people and walked back home as he was reading the letter.
"To my idiot friend Araki Taiga,
By the time you read this letter, I'd have already moved away
to another house. I totally screwed up bigtime, haha. My parents
found out about the little tussle we got in at school and wanted to
move me to a boarding school in Okinawa. I know it sucks but
hey that's life right? You win some you lose some. Don't worry
about me i'll be fine. I'm sorry I couldn't say anything to you
before. My parents also kinda grounded me from using any
kind of gadgets so i've been stuck at home doing boring
chores >.< .
Anyways, what I really wanted to say is that.. thank you.
Thank you for being my friend, as short live as our friendship
was i had a blast. But i don't think i'm ever going back here
again after what happened. After this, my family is moving
to America because they've found a good college there that
they want me to go to. So this is probably goodbye for good
my friend. Who knows, maybe we might meet again by
chance one day right? But for now, Goodbye!
P.S. one last thing; when you stood in front of me to
protect me from Kato's gang back there,
i thought you looked super cool! Like a real
Hero of Peace(Seigi no Mikata). I know your dad was
kind off a villain and all but maybe you could be a hero!
Your dumb tendency to always seek out justice totally
fits the bill too! Seriously- you coulda totally avoided getting
a beating had you left me. But I guess things wouldn't
have changed right? I'm glad you stuck your neck out for me.
Never stop being you, yeah? You're good like that.
Here's Takafumi Kenta signin out! See ya around Araki Taiga!"
Taiga folded the letter back into it's original form neatly and packed it back into the envelope. His eyes were watery but tears didn't come out. Sure it was bittersweet for him because his only friend was leaving him but he was relieved to know that he was the same as usual. Above all that, Kenta even had some final words of encouragement to give Taiga until the end. "What would I do without you.. Takafumi.." Taiga says to himself. From there Taiga had a clear goal in his head. He wanted to become that person that person Kenta described. Someone who was protecting the weak when they needed help. Someone who would help those in need without a second thougt of hesitation. A cool, kind hero who stands for something good, that gives people hope. A hero of Justice that people won't be afraid off.
------ Ability Profile
Hero name: The Fiber Hero: Tetsuki
Quirk name: Metal Fiber Manipulation
Description:
The user can create metal fibers from their body and weave them to denser bundles to form whips, cables, ropes and the like. It conducts electricity and heat fairly well but the conductivity decreases as the thickness of the fibers increase. The elasticity of the fiber bundles will also decrease if the thickness increases. Able to Detach the bundles when necessary but loses control of it once they do. The fibers also begin to rust at a faster pace and lose their original rigidity once detached. Taiga needs to consume a lot of fiber, iron and protein in order to maintain a healthy usage of his quirk.
[Battle] --Jan, Ken, Gu--
- Tendrils ; Thin bundles of metal fibers that are light and quick. Used to Pierce objects or smack objects like a whip
- Armor ; Wraps the fibers around his body like a second layer of skin. Provides strong defense.

Drawbacks:
- Cannot use quirk in presence of high amounts of water because the metal will rust
-Quirk becomes harder to control in colder temperatures due to the metal fibers becoming more succeptable to rigidity and frostbite.
- Thin fiber bundles snap easily ; Tendrils will snap if the weakpoitns are exploited
- Thick fiber bundles are stiff ; Armor will decrease mobility greatly
- Over usage will cause in severe skin rashes on spots where the quirk was used. Further usage would cause skin tissue tearing.
- Weaving thicker bundles will wear him out faster than it would thinner bundles
- Fiber Bundels cannot be controlled remotely, they must still be connected to his skin to weave and control.

- He wears the hair clip to give him a sense of friendliness from his demeaning exterior
- Due to his high fiber, iron and protein diet, Taiga possesses a very healthy digestive system and a balanced metabolism. He doesn't lose or gain weight too quickly or too slowly. He took advantage of this and decided to work on his physical fitness by exercising and doing simple to advanced calisthenics 3 times a day.
- He likes reading manga, especially mystery or psychological genres
- Taiga's quirk has a lot of potential to become very deadly and destructive but Taiga represses it on purpose in fear of what he could do if he lost control of his emotions.
