History:
Jeremy has been a fighter his entire life. Damn near coming out of the womb, this man has been fighting. So it's only natural, that he would grow up to fight his life away in some ring. Jeremy lived a very good life, a family that loved him dearly, a little sister who looked up to him as if the sun shined from out of his ass. He never did have many friends in school, mostly keeping to himself, only bothering to talk to classmates and teachers when necessary. He would go after school to train with an MMA coach, because goddamn, this boy was going to shine brightly as a star in the octagon. As he got older, he started to compete in no-name underground tournaments, trying to build up a name for himself as he trained day in and day out for nationals. He was as quick as he was powerful, giving his all and his heart into the art of the dance he wove around his opponents. He was absolutely unstoppable. When an opponent steps into his ring, they announced it, "Welcome to the Dragon's Lair."
Then on the year of his 20th birthday, two matches away from his first, national MMA event...something happened. There he was, his mind blank, his gaze penetrating and calculative. His opponent threw a jab, and when he began to recoil, Jiji began to throw his kick. In the blink of an eye, with a moment of hesitation, he faltered, and with what happened the unthinkable. With his hesitation, his shin connected with his opponents, but the force and speed combined with his hesitation in focus cause his tibia to snap like a twig around this other man leg.
He dropped to the ground, the snap ringing in his ears like a gunshot. He sat there for a moment, wiping away at the blood from a previous injury from his eye. Why was his leg shaped like that? That... not... right...
Jeremey awoke to a plain white hospital room, his family gathered and his little sister holding his hand, her face immediately lighting up with his stirring.
But he could not muster a smile back. He had lost all of his hard work and dreams in the blink of an eye. He was nothing.
Months and one steel rod later, he came back from a bar, angered and feeling sorry for himself, knocking over a chair as he stumbled away to his room. The chair spilled out all of his paperwork and blood work he had received earlier that day from his visit, but an odd letter skittered to his feet from in between the medical forms, one he didn't remember receiving from Doc. Kim himself. Whipping it up, in the most beautiful, elegant script he'd ever seen in his life, it read,

"Do you wish to renew yourself? Stop feeling sorry for yourself? Take a look inside~"

Upon being accepted to Crowhaven:
Stepping off the bus, the quietly thanked the bus driver, and squinted his eyes, looking at the large building before them, settled neatly in the distance. He frowned. Just what the fuck did he sign himself up for? He scowled and turned to look at the students around him. Most were bright, doe-eyed at the thought of spending their time to be able to hash out another chance at being popular in high school, or so he thought. He didn't have time for any of that, only to better himself. Make himself something he's proud to look at. There were girls and boys alike, all dressing in the same uniform as himself. He probably looked stupid, he didn't know how to tie a tie.
Jeremy looked down at himself in retrospect. His tie looked even worse from the bus ride. His eyebrows furrowed, and he began to make his way up the path.
