Well, I say redesign, but it's actually more just returning the character to his roots lol. I still haven't gotten around to seeing Justice League, but I'm excited to finally see Cyborg, one of my favorite characters from childhood, in live action. Although I think he looks great in the trailers, I would have liked to see a more practical, less CG design for him. For my take, I basically used his classic Perez design, but with the blue cybernetic plates that he has in the TT animated series. I really don't care for the C chest plate that DC has been sticking him with lately, as I think it makes him look like a big silver Iron Man, so I decided to try another, story-based approach. After Cyborg decides to go into "superheroing", he continues to wear the wrestling singlet that he competed in when he was a normal human, just trying to get through college. It's a reminder to him that, although he has these new cybernetic parts, he's still a human being, and that's what's important to him. It's a tether to his humanity. AND since he went to Central City University (I know that's not canon...just go with me here), there's a C on his chest already. When the press sees him, they decide to call him something robotic that starts with a C...hence, "Cyborg."Hope you guys like it!

I'd like to see Cyborg be happy with his cybernetics when he's first reformatted with them.

I feel like that's something that he has to grow into. As many heroes do, he has to struggle with his transformation a little bit before embracing the good that his powers can do for others and, in turn, finding his happiness.

But I can't deal with a Cyborg who isn't his Teen Titans 2003 version. That defines his character and when he first wakes up and hates his cybernetics, it defies who he's meant to be, his true personality. Eating pizza and waffles and shouting "BOOYAH!" He can't struggle with his transformation because it's not what I grew up with. I grew up with "Evil beware, we have waffles!" He embraces the good that his powers can do for others right at the very start and finds his happiness.
And that's why I think Black Vulcan is hot now and have a crush on him instead.

Hahaha I feel like by the time he's shown in the 2003 Titans show, he's been Cyborg for a while, so he's kind of come to terms with what he is by the time the team comes together...although there are some great episodes that show him still struggling with it from time to time (the episode where he fights Atlas springs to mind).
And be real, the reason you think Black Vulcan is hot because he's got all that thigh showing

No, check out the origin episode. He doesn't like his cybernetics and wears a trench coat, he takes time growing into liking his cybernetics.
I blame Six Flags, there's this one teaser for the Cyborg Cyber Spin ride where Cyborg goes, "I spent a lot of my childhood in these labs with my parents, and you wouldn't believe the things technology has done for me!" Of course I realize that's probably years post-mechanization, but I grew up watching TTG and some of the 2003 Titans show, and I think Cyborg should be happy with his cybernetics from the very start.
My version of Cyborg has a different origin that allows him to keep his human form, so he's happy from the very start.

I just like when he's happy and wish he was happy from the very start. If he were a Silver Age character he wouldn't have angsted. I want a version of Cyborg who asks to get reformatted with cybernetics and is happy with them from the very start...
And yeah. Plus he's adorable AF ("Great Lightning!")
