**update. i got a new desktop computer after about 2 years on a laptop and lounge, have retouched this so its fit for printing**view the second in this series titled Yellow Girl HERE [link]
This took about 2 and a half hours now...not so quick but i didnt want to leave it how it was a while ago. Photoshop 9
Its homage to an amazing set of artworks and their maker from whom the concepts were 'inspired'

meh, I don't really... but the point is, saying an "opinion" that isn't based off of facts can be hurtful. Not everyone is entitled to their opinion, especially when their opinion is a series of rumors that stemmed from something that has nothing to do with my work, and is based completely on the fact that I'm a "bitch".

i understand your point. you use photos (thats not a rumor) but it doesnt mean you suck, and your work shows it, its amazing. however its executed, which you do really well its the image itself thats important and most people know that

I don't always use photos. Damien's kiss had photos used in the foreground and background but not the characters which to me are the main attraction of the painting anyhow. Koi Boy had no photos used, though I did ref a pet goldfish and myself a ton. So yes, it IS a rumour that I only use photos. I've made it clear when and where I use photos as a constant. So when I have used them, of course I'm not opposed to people saying as much, but to say I only use them is just bullshite.

as he pointed me over this direction, I'm reading this. Yes, I overpainted in the tutorial, but the majority of my paintings are just that; paintings.
I do overpainting, non overpainting, and all sorts of methods, so stop insinuating that my work is all overpainting. Anyone who has seen koiboy upclose (to what this homage was paid) would know it couldn't be an overpainting. Only an inexperienced person would assume otherwise.

well it is offensive. Typically when I "hear" something from someone else, I try to validate the claims before I add my bit to the rumor mill and start telling everyone "omg can you believe, she only overpaints? She has no talent at all... even if your piece isn't skilled, you're better than her because like she totally cheats on EVERYTHING."
Yeah, after a while seeing that written everywhere can get annoying, especially when the people writing it are saying that they just are repeating what they heard. Very sheep-esque.
