Johnny Depp is Doctor Strange

I've got a few weeks off and I'm spending some of that time doing this new series. Similar to my previous Green Lantern corps series... but this time more realistic I guess you could say.

This series is based on the idea of who could have been cast and what characters we might have seen in an alternate universe Avengers movie or what I suppose could happen in a future Avengers movie.

Possible Doctor Strange backstory?
Just look to the Doctor Strange animated move. It has a perfect backstory that could easily fit into the Marvel filmverse. "A rich selfish doctor who through a series of incidents ends up with the eye of agmatto, bringing him understanding of (magic)."

What kind of story could Strange bring to an Avengers film?
As pointed out in the Thor film. Magic is just science that we don't yet understand. Strange is the only human on earth that does in fact understand it, making him a key member if the Avengers end up facing anything supernatural.

Why Johnny Depp as Doctor Strange?
Johnny Depp has played many eccentric roles. Doctor Strange would be different, but Depp has such a range. I think it would be cool to see him bring life to the character.
