Another pass at the redesign. Even grittier and more military with this one. His shield isn't vibranium, obviously, assuming Bucky is going to use it or whatever...Scuffed-up paint was maybe subconsciously influenced by: [link]

my thinking on the shield is that it is indestructable, but the paint is not.

Yeah, that makes sense. Last I heard (a while ago, admittedly) Cap was going to hand over the shield to Bucky. So this was meant to be a heavier, less fantastic version of the traditional shield.
