Haydrian Bluu in his full colored glory! The color scheme that I came up with for him was kind of ironic, considering the fact that Haydrian is an extremely shy character, but I loved it so decided to keep it.Perhaps it was the fact that, despite his shyness, he is kind of like that light that walks into a room and brightens it up.
I plan on eventually putting together a character profile for him, which would make explaining his history and personality a lot easier then trying to do it here.

Well, he is actaully not supposed to have any connection to Super Sonic at all. Haydrian is a completely custom character that I came up with one day, liked and decided to do a full picture of. I was kind of worried about people thinking something like that, so I might make a few changes in the future to make him look less like Sonic and more like an individual.

Don't know why but I've always liked the drawn by styles better then Photoshop. It makes me glad to see some people still take a fancy to the hard work of colour pencil and elbow greace. Still photo shop is pretty.

Well this was definaly the wait for this is a very stunning and excellently presented piece of traditional media. The colour pencil has wroked phenomenally here and portrays not only some great decisions and improvements in your work, but also a character that has shown some high potentials for the future.
Your style of shading is very strong in this piece and the use of colour suits him excellently. What I really like is the fine colur around his eyes and particularly around the display of light reflecting off his quils.
All in all and ace job and a great character.

Thank you. I am truly glad that you like it. I was actually quite pleased to that using colored pencil allowed me to get directional texture on the spines.
And it was kind of funny, I was sitting in my Color Theory follow up class the other day and I had this picture with me, so I was looking at it while we were talking about color schemes. It was then that I realized, with out thinking about it, I had used roughly two color schemes for this peice. One of them Complimentry, with the yellow and purple; and the other split complimentry with the red violet, green and blue.

I think it was a wise decision to use colour penil as it is a really strong high point in your drawing and was nicely demonstrated in this piece. as for the colour palette, you definatly chosse a good and strong selection of colour, so it's lucky you had while in class.
