Description Some type of wild berry plant that we came across while hiking around Sedona.

Update 6-6-09

Thanks to *lehsa and =TwistedGenie I now know that this is a blackberry bush. Thank you to them

The blackberry is an aggregate fruit from a bramble bush, genus Rubus in the rose family Rosaceae. It is a widespread, and well known group of several hundred species, many of which are closely related apomictic microspecies native throughout the temperate Northern hemisphere.

they grow like a way of life here, in fact quite a nuscience sometimes, the shots can grow almost a foot a day, so you can almost see them growing, mind you where would we be without aunties blackberry and apple pie?

I don't know what it is, either, but it is pretty. Love how the petals have that crape (sp?) look about it. Kind of like vintage roses.

Yay! I was a bit worried it might be a raspberry but when I compared that to your flower it wasn't quite right. Blackberry fit so much better flower wise. They're very similar though.
