Description Took this back in Oct. of '05 had several shots but only submitted one...anyways I decided to go in and experiment. I never alter my pics above the normal....I will use like most of you the contrast, auto levels etc. etc. but, I have never altered or played with the hues to change my pics. To be quite honest I am a black&white kind of thinker I tend to follow the rules and never think outside of my box. Not because I haven't wanted to just I tend to stick with what nature presents to me. I am also the same with rules give me them and I will never deviate I have no earthly clue why I am like that. Yes, I know I am weird Anyways, I was encouraged after seeing ~1bgpayne s' picture ...A Different Color to give it a try and see what I could do. So here it is the only thing changed was the background in the original it was green.

-----------------------------------------------------------Update Aug. 2, 2009------------------------------------------
Originally gave this to ~ArtistForCharity to sell back in '06....But, got an email not to long ago that they were deleting it. Guess it didn't generate any revenue. So decided to put it back up as a print in my own account.

Love the sharpness of it! Can't do that with my EOS I think the blue background really adds to the ambiance (I have some green dew drops in my gallery myself, but they can't compete with yours ^^)

GeodeLady In reply to MargotC [2006-02-14 04:04:41 +0000 UTC]

Thank you I agree the blue does add alot to it

Well if it helps any I took about 100+ pics of these webs different angles and at some points laying in the grass I even had some woman pull over while i was taking these she thought I had lost my mind to grief and was rolling around in despair My point is out of all those only a handful were decent enough to submit.

You know what I retract my attempts at helpful hints I just went to your page and I have your Bubbly dewdrops II open in another window you don't need any help that is an awesome capture and I love how you arranged it. Very nice work.

Lol at the little anecdote and I actually think shooting a lot of pictures of one thing is a great tip

It is and I wish I could take credit for the idea but I read it in a photog magazine.

Your next exercise is to get a set of closeup filters so you can get so close to those droplets
that you see the image they contain.
But, wait...did you say your camera broke?
or was that someone else?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

GeodeLady In reply to StarTyger [2006-02-13 06:03:23 +0000 UTC]

I do have some...I have a set of +1,+2,and +4.....I also have a +10. I have a hard time with them as it only focus' in the middle rather then like this shot.

Yes, my Canon is broken

Excellent job! I really like this piece. I know some photographers shudder at the thought of tweaking their photos in a digital program, but I love it. I tend to love the results when others do it too.

That is SO clever. I had problems changing the background on my red rose and compared to this, mine should have been simple. Obvously you used a different technique to me. Did you do it in photoshop. I'm going to bribe you into telling me how you did it, by adding it to my . Only kidding, I would it anyway because it is beautiful.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

GeodeLady In reply to AdamsWife [2006-02-06 04:58:32 +0000 UTC]

Thank you so much No bribe-ing needed

No I couldn't figure out how to do it in PS used the program that came with hubbies camera. All I did was play with the "hue" lever and then increased the blues and dropped the reds a smidge to get a deeper shade. I am sure there is probably a better way in PS just don't know it yet oh and I have tried to do the same with a rose pic I had and it didn't work for me either Thinking it is because the waterdrops are clear so they don't change.

AdamsWife In reply to GeodeLady [2006-02-06 22:01:19 +0000 UTC]

Thank you. That is worth knowing. I fiddled with the hue lever once, but never tried it again.
