Description Dave ~minirails had a car come into the shop he works at...well the car had been sitting for four months and when he got in to check it out he found this little guy all dried out and looking pretty grim stuck up in the dash board of the car (Dave took some pictures of him on the dash area was really a sad sight not sure if he will ever get them posted though)....no clue how he got in the car or how long he had been in there.....well, of course he found a container to put the poor thing in and gave him some much needed water really made a huge difference in his color and appearance. Anyways, after I got up to his work to pick him up we walked down to the creek which runs behinds Daves' work to release him....This is one time I am really glad for being the chauffer and having to pick Dave up or I would have missed out on getting to see this little guy and getting to partake in returning him to freedom.

Not very often I run into frogs much less ones that will sit still.....out of the 150 pics I took of him this was my favorite shot. I can't help but think of a certain person/story when I look at this pic. Her name is Tabitha and she loves frogs she was created by ~zebrazebrazebra I absolutely love the story and always look forward to the new chapters that ~zebrazebrazebra does in her journals. I look for them whenever I log in....it really has become an addiction for me when I see a new one in my inbox I get so excited that I can never seem to hit the link fast enough.....After she has compiled enough she turns them in as deviations I really like that as I get to show my appreciation by adding it to my faves....this woman is extremely talented so if you haven't seen or heard about Tabitha or ~zebrazebrazebra check out these links to her story;

I'm utterly asleep right now which is why it took me so long between seeing this and commenting on it - but it's gorgeous. He looks like such a sweetie! Exactly the sort that Tabitha likes.

As for the plug...what can I say? I'll be blushing for WEEKS!

It looks happy and wet here. Good work with saving the critter. I love green frogs.

And somehow I managed to comment on it at last - it's fourth time I'm here and every time something is distracting me. And no, it wasn't Tabitha every time - just twice.

Me too we like to go out and catch toads to put in our garden for a natural pest control. We will not use pesticides at all so it works out great

Thank you so much I hope he lives a long life to and finds a girl or guy froggy to be happy with

Cool shot! Frogs are way cool and yet I don't get to see them in this part of Australia (too cold).

So you're lucky that you could find one to shoot up close like that

I'm pretty sure you do just that. And my mother was the same way with us kids... we had a childhood filled with injured birds and such, so to this day, I do go out of my way to rescue things, even if it's to pluck a dragonfly from a spider's web.

We've had to release a frog or two back over to the creek. I don't think I've got a pic that wasn't blurry though. Damn things don't like to sit still *g*
Great photo too.

The colors are beautifully rich! Great image!

yeah they can be a tad slimey and they tend to pee when being held so can't blame her.
The kids and I go on toad hunts we like to bring them home so they can eat the insects around the yard. We don't use any pesticides at all we prefer the natural insect killers

Thank you
