The final product is magnificent! All the detail shines through. The hair strikes me the most with its chaotic realism. Really very lovely!

My friend did.
She was visiting last night.
She's negative about everything. So I posted what I did to rebel against her remark.
XD

Thank you first for clearing that up ad thank you again for standing up for my work! That was simply amazing for you to do that!

BearKomozuki In reply to GeorgiaHorsepainter [2013-06-05 16:41:17 +0000 UTC]

No problem! I usually get negative critisism for what I draw... and I'm usually prowd (i forgot how to spell that XD lol) of what i draw. I know the feeling of being put down on something you've work hard on! And I think no one needs to feel like that!!

Fantastic again And yes this photo I guess iis much more accurate! No browns here although I did like the effect that produced, too. This is a wonderful piece, I enjoyed seeing the progress too.

Thanks so much Amanda! You have been such an inspiration to me... your work is amazing and you are able to complete work much faster than I can. I really need to reduce the time I spend on a piece... I have been invited to do a special show at the end of July and need 5 to 10 finished pieces! OOOOoooooooooo.... !!!! Yes I agree on the tint to the graphite and am very anxious to experiment with the tinted graphite! It should be very interesting! They also make powdered charcoal in sepia tones and sanguine that I am considering using for a drawing of a chesnut... we will see. In the mean time, congratulations on your recent sales and I hope it continues for you!

AmandaDrage In reply to GeorgiaHorsepainter [2013-07-05 14:28:29 +0000 UTC]

Gosh, thank you. I'm happy to hear we artists can inspire each other I wouldn't necessarily agree about reducing the time spent on your work... that little extra bit of effort is extra-special and time spent is never time wasted, not really. I am sure it is what makes your work yours. But I can understand worries about time constraints and deadlines, for sure! Good luck with those pieces... Maybe you can reduce the size, instead of the time

GeorgiaHorsepainter In reply to AmandaDrage [2013-07-05 16:00:54 +0000 UTC]

Yes, your mention of reducing the size of the work has occurred to me, especially after you posted your photo of the work you had prepared to take to the show. I agree taht this would save time but I am not sure that I can give up the drama of the larger work. I think that I am hooked!

Haha I totally understand!! There is something about the bigger pieces that is addictive...
