Yup, more ASP fanart for your enjoyment.

Poor thing...I made him look so sad. I guess you can say he looks either curious or scared too, but I think it's apparent that he's a depressed little creature in this pic.

Anyway, I spent waaaaay more time making the background than I did Asp. I ultimately went for the Weltunter/Aus Der Tiefe-esque theme with the teal green tiles. Additionally, in order to capture that eerie "Dunkle Turm" feeling, I went ahead and used some stock textures and a whole lotta photoshop brushes . I think it turned out okay for the most part.
Der Schwarze Schmetterling on the other hand, I've noticed now a couple of flaws after coloring him in. Some of the edges around his foot and arm are not supposed to be that blurry, GUH! I couldn't correct it after I merged the layers. His middle finger is also supposed to be way longer. And surprisingly, I ended up making him look younger then what I originally intended. That's what I get for using Nyu as a pose reference. Nyu nyuuuuu!

I'm also submitting this to 's song contest. The song that crosses my mind the most when I look at this is "Tiles". *gasp* who knew?
