About story:
This is a disheartening story toward the end of the book when Alex looses her Ability to walk.

About drawing:
It took over 12 hours to finish. And has over 100 layers.

I remember that day to well.
It was literally one of the last day Alex came to school it was mid march. Was a beautiful day. I had come into the caferteria to meet with Ty, Alex and the rest of the group. I had not seen them since we had hung out on the bus. Alex had been acting different for weeks now. Less energetic as if she was saving her energy. The normal qaurks that I would do that go on her nerves. She didnt even so much as bring up.
She was quiet. Hardly ever spoke at school. Not even to Ashley. She would aften be breathing heavy. When she did. Even with her medication.
"Hey Justin." Ty hit my shoulder.
"Hey dude." I said punching his shoulder.
"So, we havent been hanging out much. You wanna come over to my place to play video games or something."
"Yeah. Sure."
"You know, you havent been socializing much."
"Yeah Im sorry Ty."
"Coach has been getting mad at you." Tyler told me.
"Yeah I know."
"Your not in the game anymore Justin."
"I just have not been feeling like it." I said picking at my food.
"Justin this is a big thing for us. Both of us. You are the best player. Why are you throwing it away?"
"Dude." I said setting my fork down.
"Its her isnt it?" He asked me as I looked away "Look I get your trying to be there for her. But your neglecting your team Justman.
"Maybe I don't care anymore." I said. Stabbing my fork into my lunch.
"You? Justin Calloway baseball star and Fanatic since little league?"
"Look dude," I started.
"Okay Justin." He said. Taking his hands off the table. "I guess you dont fucking care about us anymore."
"Dude you know im dealing with more then that."
"Its supposed to be your get away."
"Yeah..." I said.
"Hey dude" Tyler touched my shoulder. "You gonna be okay seriously. Not to sound totally gay. But im worried about you."
I smiled at him.
"Fuck you." I said with a smirk.
"Justin?" Someone touched my shoulder. I looked
Up.
"Alex!" I beamed.
"Can you... Spot me five bucks."
"No," I said. "But I will give you five." She nodded walking away.
Tyler looked over at Her.
"Is she walking kinda a weird."
I clocked him over the head with my tray.
"Say that again I dare you!" I snarled.
"Hey!" He said rubbing his head. "I didnt mean sexually dumbass. I mean look at her!"
I looked over. She was walking weird. I kept an eye on her. As she got lunch.
She made her back to me. Her facial expression was pain. I got up.
"Hey I was talking." Ty protested.
"Alex you okay?"
THUD as she collapsed to the ground.
"Alex!!" "Ow." She said. As I kneeled down next to her.
"What happened?" I asked. By then May and ashley were running over to her where she lay. She cringed from pain. The rest of the caferteria were looking.
"Alex!" Ashley cried.
I pulled her head up. As I looked into her eyes. Her expression was pure agony. As she looked up at me. Tears filled my eyes. As I lowered my head.
"Justin, I can't move." She said her eyes watering as well.
Ashley and May had reached us.
"Alex!" She said
"Holy moly Ally. Are you ok?" May said.
Alex rolled her eyes.
"Someone call my mom. Please." She said in utter embarrassment.
I picked her up.
"Justin" she complained.
"Hush." I said.
Ashley had grabbed Alex's phone.
"Holy crap." Tyler said.
"Dont ask please." She said. I was still holding her.
She leaned into me.
Our friends were all staring at us. I knew I should be taking her to the nurses office. But what good would it do. I sighed. Sitting down with her in my lap.
"Your mom said she is coming to get you." Ashley said.
"Im going too." I said.
"No justin stay."
"Fuck no." I said.
"Arent the teachers going to say something about her being in your lap." I looked over at her.
"Let them fucking try."
"Whoa whats with the language?" May said.
"Stop." Alex coughed. I didn't like May. She was such a prude.
"Ally, are you gonna be alright?" She asked.
"Yeah," she said.
"Does she not know." I whispered. But she heard me.
"No, keep it that way."
May was the only one talking as the rest of the group came to the table. The group didnt say a thing about what was going on. Savanah even gave May an evil eye. As she kept talking
Her Mom called again letting us know she was there.
"I will see you guys later." I said. Alex nodded her head. As the group all waved. I took her out to the car. Where her Mom opened the car door and ran over to her daughter.
"Alexandra Tori!" She said running up to me.
Holding her daughters head.
Tears were in her eyes.
"Im going with you guys." I said confidently . I could see her Mom about to protest but refrained.
Alex, do you hurt anywhere." She said as I set her in the car.
"Yeah." She whispered. "I can't walk." She said.
"Well we will go to the hospital."
"No Mom, they said the final stages..." She said. As her Mom put her head to the steering wheel.
"You mean she can't..." Her mom looked back at me.
"No," she said.
I put my hands on my mouth.
From that point foward, she never walked again.
