Awww, I love the scene and the story behind it, poor Sean!
I always love the descriptions you write, btw, like the whole thing about the irony of the stars not being in the picture. Your comments always seem to make your pictures more endearing combined with your already great art.

I think you've done a great job with the angle and the lighting. Looks lovely.

i love the angle, it's certainly different, and the mood of the piece wouldnt have been the same had it been in a more conventional view. i noticed that people have already pointed this out, but the path does seem a bit bright, especially compared to the grass. the contrast is very big, making it look as if the path were somehow on a higher level than the grass, as if it were a platform or a stage. does that make sense? im not very articulate, forgive me
the only suggestion i can think of is to either tone down the path, or the brighten up the grass, which would make it look "higher" and less "under" everything else. personally id tone down the path.
yeah. that's it! great work though! i dont think i can ever draw anything like this! anatomy and angles are totally my weak points, the 2 things that make this work really good!

And while everyone else showers love over this (I like it, no worry) I see a couple of things that make me wonder.
The first is the path, the stones on the path seem to glimmer too much in the moon/lamplight, and it does take a lot of focus off the characters themselves. It is also the most obviously data-manipulated part of the piece, which makes me a little squirped (I just made that up). The overall more comic-like feel of the picture contrasts with the softer sheen of the path. Personally, I don't mind the lineart being bold and clear, it makes me feel more at home (since I read a lot of internet comics).
The other thing I noticed is that the bench they're sitting on doesn't seem to be broad enough for Sean to lie like that. Unless she's supporting herself with one leg and half her body's off the edge. I do see that her right arm is hanging beside his leg, and that's ok. I'm just wondering about her tush.
Was that constructive enough? >_>
