Description Rose Tri Portrait part 1

I'm practicing a lot of techniques all at once by doing a triple portrait. First is this one which is similar to another one I did a while back but then I learned a whole bunch more about drawing facial features, a lot from working in 3D. After this, I'll be doing on in her normal outfit and after that a modern version, so as to practice a lot of techniques in a short period of time.

Since I'll be working on this same image with different background and foreground features, this one will probably get updated a lot. But here's a preview anyway.

Thanks! I've started working on version 2 which is her normal costume. It's nice to get to start from a partially finished drawing.

Yep! The other two will be more like her leaning over a rail instead of leaning against something. That's how I imagine it anyway.

Wow my friend I love this work!
Again I could tell that this is from you without looking at your username bc (idk if I ever told you that but) your style is really unique for me, so I always know if you drew that or not!
Love her hair!^^ And the shading on her skin is so well done! Also love the bg and the plant !^^

Thank you! I guess the way I modify characters that were originally designed in anime style is pretty distinctive. I do notice that a lot of people who do realistic versions keep things like altered eye proportions, where I prefer not to.

The double high plant was a happy accident. I extended the drawing's vertical space to improve the composition and when I was extending the background part I found I liked the double stacked plant. I think it'd be better if the top one were smaller, so I'll probably change that at some point.

Thank you! I'm glad to hear that. That's the challenge with drawing characters in this way, that they won't really look like themselves. XD Rose is this way more than others because of her hair.

Thank you! I'm pretty pleased with how it turned out. I worked out the water droplets on the skin myself.
