I haven't done a still life in a while, so decided to sit down and explore stone to wood texture on the various beads and talismans. As on my other piece "Early One Morn," the original bears the crimson chop of "Hong Fei Long" underneath the signature.

I never really leave DA, just take vacations now and again, however, it is good to share new work that I've been doing this past fall and winter! A few more pieces to go. This one was a lot of fun because of the variety of textures together. I really like how the stone work came out on the large beads. It also gave me a chance to explore line weight to help separate elements. All in all, a good excessive!
