An old Kaiju Creation of mine, Descray. He actually has two origins. My original was for him to be a space creature often confused as a member of the Ghidorah species. The second origin has him as an evolved form of Ghidorant. During an old Kaiju RPG, Ghidorant entered into a battle with Destroyah. When he had been nearly defeated, one of his shoulder-heads ripped free of the main body and ripped a chunk of Destroyah free. That piece was assimilated into the head, and it began a metamorphosis into Descray. In an attempt to stop the transformation, Destroyah fired a blast of her micro-oxygen at the creature, only to have the energy absorbed.Related content

Oh I love them! I used to go by the name Spaceghidorah in the late 90s until I lost interest for awhile.Recently though, I've been getting back into them and have been working on some side projects involving the creatures I've created. I'm hoping to have something a little more solid come 2010

Great monster. It does have a bit of Destroyah qualities to him. Mostly his red skin. One question, what's a Ghidorant? And why would it fight Destroyah?

Thanks, I'm glad you like him! One of the stories I was involved with on an old rpg had some incident in which Destroyah and Ghidorant came into conflict... I honestly don't remember the details of the story, but I do remember Ghidorant taking quite a beating. In a moment of desperation, one of his shoulder skulls tore free of his body and took a bite out of Destroyah, then mutated into Descray. It was a fun little story for awhile.

Yep, Role Playing Game. I used to be in a few but have found that those tend to get way too clouded with petty drama and chest-beating. Not my thing anymore. It was a pretty good way to spawn some interesting story ideas though.

Hehe, I'm a Godzilla NUT!! When I was little and people used to ask me what I wanted to be when I grew up, I'd answer "Godzilla!" without any hesitation. To me it made perfect sense; he's big, he's tough, never backs down from a fight, and if he encounters an obstacle he plows right through it.

Godzilla is the coolest i also like the other monters like ghidorah, anguirus, a whole lot. Have you seen the art by godzillasamurai? He made godzilla look like a samurai.

I've always loved Godzilla because he was the standard against which all the other monsters were created. Kind of like Ryu from Street Fighter, I use Godzilla as the measuring stick when I create a new kaiju ("Is he faster or slower than Godzilla, Stronger or weaker, taller or shorter, etc.") I think that's why I find a certain charm in most of the other Toho monsters, because they've all got something unique about them, or something about tham that, if used correctly, could make them a serious threat to Godzilla.
Oh yes, I've seen GodzillaSamurai (or Hairykaiju I think he's called now) and love his stuff, very creative, vibrant and he's got a real solid grasp of anatomy and proportion

Thanks! I really liked the way the colors on him wound up working out. Originally I was going to make him an off shade of blue, but thought the red/maroon worked better.
