Entry for #David-Tennant-Love 's 'Emotional David' contest.When I think of David's mad acting skillz, it's always the subtleties that impress me the most. This guy has got LAYERS of emotion going on. LAYERS.
In this moment I chose (from Waters of Mars) I can spot at least five different emotions in his expression and I have no idea how the hell he does it.
He never ceases to amaze me. Guh.
Done in pencil on standard recycled white sketchbook paper, whites made grey in Photoshop, then added white highlights in Corel Painter. About two to three hours of work. (Tutorial here: [link] ).
Oh, and the title is a play on 'And He Knew He Was Right' (a terrible book, but a fun BBC series if you like seeing DT be a sissy) because you can see the fear in the Doctor's eyes that he might be wrong. LAYERS.
This man needs an Oscar...

His face has more layers than 7 layer dip. Best actor EVER. (at least up there) And you captured ALL of the expressions. Can I PLEASE steal your David Tennant drawing ability?

The shading in this is beautiful, and the depth, not only in his emotions, but in his facial structure, is aesthetic.
