That's actually quite cute :3
The idea of Daniel in his youth growing up with his father and sickly sister is a fascinating aspect of his character. And seeing a younger version of Alexander is, for the lack of a better word, sexy XD. The youthfulness of his skin, the colour of his hair makes him quite appealing and you can see why a child would trust him, with such a calming and confident aura.
Shame that suit doens't do him justice until the white hair kicks in XD

Every time I've seen Alexander portrayed young, he always has been portrayed with silver hair. You gave him a more realistic look with the black hair, and I love it. Little Daniel is adorable!

This shows some serious skills. Obviously somebody knows how to use watercolours. I like the swirling damask pattern that hangs over the picture like brown dust. You also manage to keep the way light falls on surfaces, and even bring out the textures in the hair and clothing; two things that aren't easily done with watercolour. This is not merely fanart; this is a bonafide artistic opus. Well done my friend.
