Where the- oh, I think I meant Kiryu; the name of the team is the Kiryu-Kai Special Forces.

Yes. It will have contextual cut-scenes to illustrate some of the action - recall Tecmo's Captain Tsubasa games for the NES.

I've only played the mainstream-ish RTS's for some reason.

Well, to draw the most obvious one, have you ever played X-Com?
I maintain that I had absolutely no knowledge of the franchise when designing the layout, but my new roommate introduced me to it, and it's completely engrossing.

I'm not surprised, considering it was a PC title. The next closest comparison I could draw would be Fire Emblem or Valkyria Chronicles.

Yep. I realize it's a lot more ambitious than a platformer, I don't even know if aski knows how to work with an isometric grid...
Also, how has that DLL worked out for you?

First of all, if he's using gamemaker, it comes automatically equipped with isometric capabilities.
As for the DLL, ... I keep putting off trying it out.
