Bit of a tricky pic I did, but also a very fun one to make. Sonic, Sally, Antoine, and Bunnie have made a little tower for...um...scouting purposes. I guess. Sonic seems to have spotted something, tho, so it's Adventure ahoy!
I struggled a bit with this one, I admit; I don't often draw characters this close together, let alone stacked on top of each other or with this many in one place, so it was a bit difficult to get it all done in a way I felt proud of. Still, I think the only one who really suffered for it is Sonic, who wound up with a slightly more elongated torso than usual, so that's not too bad. ^_^
I also made a point of sticking closer to the SatAM designs than I usually do. Thus, Bunnie's Robo-limbs are grey and she has whiskers, and Sally's tan fur only goes up to her neck line instead of all the way up her neck like I usually do it. This is mostly because I've been watching the show on DVD again recently and finding myself more than a bit stunned that it still manages to be such a damned awesome cartoon. ^_^

He he! Bunnie doesn't look concerned at all. She's totally got it, so long as everyone else keeps their balance. Sally is extra cute here, I think it's the ears. :3 But what I like most about this is the mood. It's about togetherness and looking forward.

I like everyone's expressions, though I pity Ant a bit because he leaves me with the impression there's a bit too much weight on his shoulders. Good thing that strong, dependable Bunnie is the bottom.
I also like how you posed everyone's ears.
Sally is particularly cute in this drawing.

And as I told , I picked each character's place on the stack carefully; Bunnie's bottom because she's the strongest, Sonic's top because his quills would be murder to sit on, Sally's below Sonic because I'm a hopless Shipper, and Ant's stuck in the middle because that's more or less his role in the show too. X3
And as I told , it was quite fun to play around with ear expressions, especially with these characters. ^_^
And Sal's just naturally cute, I only manage to communicate it to you. ;3

Yes, it is a thing that is overlooked way to often. I wished they'd done more with ear movement in SatAM. It would have add a little extra something, you know?

Indeed I do. I watched "Blast to the Past" on DVD over the weekend, actually, 'n' that very fact crossed my mind more tha once. Though admittedly, it was mostly overhadowed by thoughts of, "GOD I love this show!" lD;

Having children I watch the dvds a good deal. I'm pleased they're fans, of course. Anyway, I do recall an episode, Sonic Conversion (? maybe) where the animators did a nice job with Ant's ears as he's speaking to Uncle Chuck who's kidnapped he and Tails. I wonder why they tried so hard in this one little scene but pretty much not at all the rest of the show. Odd if you think about it.

I was responding to your comment about how handling Sonic's spines could be difficult. But my point was that if Sally could handle them whilst making love to Sonic in comic canon (she'd have to touch him--spines & all--to give birth to their kids, after all), simply handling them for a brief moment shouldn't be too hard.

Plus, I believe hedgehogs in reality are similar to porcupines in that they use their spines to defend themselves (their underbelly is their weak spot, which for Sonic, may mean he's ticklish or something), so I doubt they'd willingly stab their friends or love interest.
