This is Ike. He is the hero of Fire Emblem 10: Radiant Dawn/Akatsuki no Megami. He is a very sweet boy who loves his family and friends very much and if you hurt them he will crush you. Badly. We call him "Ikey-poo."

Okay, seriously now, how cool is Ike? I love this guy. I think he is my favorite videogame hero of all time. Why? Well, I've made a list.
Ike is the best because…

1: He only needs three letters for his name. Count them: I. K. E. None of this Master Chief/John 117, Gordon Freeman, Cloud Strife nonsense. He's Ike!
2:He does not need an oversized sword to kick his enemy's butt: he's so strong he could do it with a stick it he wanted too!
3: Besides, even if he didn't have a sword he could just poke them with his Gauntlets of d00m!
4: Did I mention he can use axes, too? 8D
5: You can never go wrong with the Red Headband of +20 badassness or the Red Cape of +15 wuppass.
6: No codpiece.
7: Unlike just about every other RPG hero, he never falls in love with the heroine or the damsel in distress. The closest he comes is grabbing her ears and shaking to keep her from having a mental breakdown. Such a gentleman. XD
8: He is 100% angst and emo-FREE!
9: No beating around the bush if an enemy double-crosses him: "What, oh? You're not my friend and you've been plotting the destruction of the world behind my back and causing pain and suffering to all my friends and family and countless others? DIE NOW!" *whack*
10: He likes kitties.

And that is why everyone likes Ike.

Copics and white acrylic ink on 8 1/2"x11" paper + minor adjustments in Photoshop. I think Ike deserves to be at least as popular as Cloud or Naruto, and this is my small way of spreading the Ikey-poo goodness. Plus, there is just not enough FE fanart, period. So I'm adding this to my collection, along with Legault, and Ranulf. Must draw Hector soon.

Technical notes: This is Ike in his Vanguard (promoted) armor. There is no official art released for it yet, and I don't have the game, so I had to use reference from YouTube videos, in-game sprites, and battle animations. So some of the details may be a bit off, but I'm happy with it. Yay for the killer left gauntlet of d00m. It nearly killed me. DX
