Judith Clawthorne was a girl who only knew agony for most of her life. Lucifer Blackburn made sure of that for the longest time. She saw him as a plague that she wanted to either be rid of or die along with it. Then, during the Moonlight Conjuring, as Lucifer tried to find a way to permanently erase Judith from existence using a book sealed away in the Forbidden Stacks, his torture of Amity using his own past ended up viewed by her as well. After seeing his tragic backstory, she realized how frighteningly similar the two of them were. After regaining control of her body, Judith vowed that if he were to try to take over again, she'd be ready.

For the past month since then, Judith tried as hard as she could to master his dark powers, preparing herself for his return. Unfortunately, it caught the notice of the Emperor's Coven. And it wasn't in a good way. Belos (formerly known as Phillip Wittebane) ordered her capture for her Petrification. Within his clutches, Judith figured out who he was and even provoked him so much as to force his cursed state out on her. After regaining his composure, Belos left her in her cell. But little did he know the plan Judith was concocting.

Moments before the Petrification Ceremony, Judith was making a bargain with the devil himself. She told him that if he were to let her use his power as her own, she'd use them to claim vengeance on the herald to the Blight family. It made her hesitant at first, but after some consideration (and faced with an increasingly waning amount of time), Judith accepted his offer and became the Scarlet Witch of the Boiling Isles (the moniker was suggested by Ben). Free from Belos' prison and her own, Judith had become the most powerful Witch in the Boiling Isles. And there will be no force on the Boiling Isles that can take that away from her.
