Description
This is a commission I've been working on for a while. I haven't drawn a celebrity in a while but must say it was fun to draw one again. I used circulism for the skin texture and the background is lightly toned. Hope you guys like it.14"x17" Fabriano Hotpress

This is absolutely stunning. I can give no higher praise than 'it looks too real to be a drawing'. And it does.
I would appreciate some advice, if you had it. I love how this image is portrayed on my computer screen. I can see lots of subtle shifts in tone and shadow. What sort of scanning/photography did you use to get a digital image of this artwork? (in other words, how did you capture it for online display?) I've tried scanning my works and tried taking a photo and am not sure what works best. Thanks so much for your time! ~ Lori

This is one of my favourite portraits. I notice the reference for this is a popular choice by deviants (tempted to have a go myself!) but yours is my favourite. She seems slightly aged but that adds a kind of elegance the others don't have. And those eyes! She looks as though she might have been sobbing. You have definitely brought something fresh to this.

this is still my all time favorite piece by you... ive left a few comments about it, but its just amazing!
i can actually distinguish between whats makeup (ie: messy eyeliner smudges) and whats shadow! thsi is such a fantastic piece of art, and ive shown this to my art teacher and many other artists!

I saw many and many realistic drawing but there is not a lot of them that makes me feel this way. All I can say that this is so beautiful!
I bealive that ref photo was very good, presenting movie star in not so usual view, so shine and happy. But your skill used that in best posible way. Great shading, lines and beautiful sparkles.
