[HISTORY]

Coriander grew up in a wealthy but loveless household. Her mother ran off when she was young, and her father was overbearingly harsh and strict in his efforts to groom Coriander into a presentable young woman. He made it no secret that he planned to marry her off, hoping to use an arranged marriage as a way to expand his business. As a child, Cori often spent her time hiding alone in her family's rose garden to escape him.

Then one day, she was approached by a strange man in the rose garden who claimed to be her half-brother. His name was Lovage. He gave her a book and promised to come back if she studied it well-- it was a tome on basic witchcraft.

Fascinated, Coriander did as suggested and began practicing magic in secret. Over the years, her mysterious brother benefactor returned periodically to give her new books and tutor her, unbeknownst to her father. When she was a teenager, and near the age when her father was likely to marry her off soon, Lovage finally bade for her to leave with him. He lead her on a short journey to the city of Gravesend and then vanished, leaving her there alone.

Coriander first found a place with Baba Yaga in her orphanage, but being an older teenager she was not with her for long. With Baba's help, she was able to find work and a small house of her own. Years have passed, and she now has a stable job as a local healer... and she has yet to meet her brother again.
