I think everybody goes through a phase where any affection their parents show each other is disgusting... And Dash isn't one for lovey dovey stuff anyways
And yes, Firefly is Dash's mom. It fits well I think

They didn't want to tell their daughter about Blitz's Unicorn sister, Spectra. Blitz and Firefly struggled to get her and Storm Breaker the Dragon together. They didn't want to tell Rainbow Dash about their struggle.
Many years later, Rainbow Dash, now grown up meets her hybrid cousin for the very first time after a white orb explodes in her bedroom when she was investigating it in the middle of the night. But both didn't find out their relation until the visit to the Chronicler.

I've heard that, but I don't think she is, just because she's been in the background since the first episode and it's never been mentioned, but eh, I suppose that it could be possible

But I think Firefly sould be her mother becuse in the episode when her father shows is the first time ever you see him, and I don't think you have seen Firefly in the serie, so thats good I think ^^
