Considering how efficient she can be with those staffs, I've been tempted to let her keep them.

She's not as bad as Illia the witch I had to stop using swords and axes, because I kept getting hit by her ice spikes or blown up by her fireball staffs. She hurt me more than any enemy Got to the point whenever I heard battle music begin to play, I'd run as far and as fast as I could from the threat. There was a huge radius of fire damage from Illias newest fireball staff.

Try Aela. She picked up a fireball staff, now every time she has a clear shot, she uses it. Just don't run too far ahead, you might end up crossing the line of fire...

Yes. Your follower equips whichever weapon you give to them, so if you take the weapon they currently have, give them the staffs and THEN give them their weapon back they'll use their weapon ^_^

Good to know! I hope Bethesda patches this so you can manually select which weapon you want them to carry.
