Description Created in Ultra Fractal 5

I found this beauty yesterday and managed to save a .jpg just before the program crashed!. It's been doing that a lot lately due to the hot weather. Unfortunately I lost the parameters so this really is a one off! I will probably waste many hours on and off trying to re create this elusive combination of formula and inside colouring. It is just one layer, one beautiful layer and it really is unique in as much as I no longer have the parameters to work with!

Duckies in UF are very versatile.Β
It's the patterning that I love so complex

Delicately beautiful. I'm afraid to even look at it, for fear of breaking it .

That's unfortunate, perhaps a habit of saving more often!
But this is an unusual beauty!Β

Yes - it was at the time. I was about 40 layers in and every one different But I used to make so many ducks last year. I blame Ed

I once used a FE Talis spot file (parameters) given me by Ed and made some really nice (to my point of view) Ducky fractals from it.
I lost it and now can't use FE.

He asked me if I'd like to try out his new formula and he sent the instructions using a freebie chinese word processor. I don't trust anything from China. I used to have all this hacking stuff and a Chinese character word processor. Β I had problems for years with XP and I don't think the two are unrelated!!!
I feel sorry for people who don't understand the risks of downloading freebiesΒ Β

He sent me an FE spot file like the one I just showed you. It was in a note in an account I deactivated... so I've lost it. It worked fine.

Ohhhh! That hurts (been there!)

There are ways to recover deleted/damaged data but it may not be worth it or may be too late. Nevertheless, this one is a beauty. I have been messing around the duckies these days. These are real bad boys. I do not think I may ever come across such a novelty but if I did, I can send you params.

Mean while, keep trying.

I love other people's parameters. I used to make so many Duckies. One day I will look through everything and see if I have the ones before this, but in the mean time I will carry on regardless. Thanks for the kind offer. Likewise, if you ever want any parameters to work with I have lots on offer

No I never did Adry. If I remember rightly my P.C crashed whilst rendering it in the heat of last summer. Luckily I had saved a .jpg but I think that is all I have. I must take a look through mu duckies folder and see if I still have the ones that went before.Β Β Β

so very beautiful, this colour mood is normally not my taste, but for this fractal it works brilliantly - my first thought was: "this is pure innocence, but then - hmmm, there might be something lascivious lurking inside..."
cool work, i like it a lot...

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

GrannyOgg In reply to feldrand [2013-08-16 23:55:11 +0000 UTC]

Thank you - Lascivious orifices was not my intention, had that been the case the throat would have been a much deeper and more vulgar colour. The title was intended to imply musical qualities. They are singing!

feldrand In reply to GrannyOgg [2013-08-24 18:52:40 +0000 UTC]

haha, oh yes, and singing is in fact much more beautiful...

So I finally got round to listening to it, and I like the idea of conducting a world wide choir linked by the internet. I have seen it done before with musicians. I will try to find it for you I do like the occasional choral piece, but have a preference for welsh choirs. Thank you for introducing me to it though.

welsh choirs? i never heard them, but i`m sure they sound great - maybe you can find something in the net for me?
are you from wales?

Ha! It's a Ducky! I produce them by the 100's. Layer after layer. So when it crashed I was about 30 layers up from the last time I saved, Every so often, when I find something I really like I start a new file and had just started working with this on the new file. But thank you for the suggestion I am very pleased that you like it!

It is unusual, and all the more precious for being the only evidence of your work.

When I saw this my first thought was of a pair of ears or trumpets (like on old HMV style gramophones) - the colouring adds to this amusing interpretation.

I like it!
