Description Susan Richards--the Invisible Woman--has been one of my favorite superheroes since the mid 1970s, and she's grown tremendously since then. Originally, she was the "girlfriend", in spite of being a full-fledged team member. She was the perpetual hostage, or the prize to be fought over. It took many, many years for her to go from "Invisible Girl" to "Invisible Woman", in spite of the fact that she was always portrayed as an adult. Thankfully, in recent years, she's come into her own. She's become a strong character, in terms of her powers and her character. She's the heart and the moral compass of the Fantastic Four, to the point that she walked out on her own husband at the end of the Civil War event, when she felt Reed had crossed a line as far as ethical treatment of super powered beings. Sue is a wife, a mother, a friend, a part-time S.H.I.E.L.D. agent, and one of the most powerful superheroes in the Marvel Universe.

There is no middle ground with this outfit. Fans either loved it or they despised it. Admittedly, it sexualized Sue to the extreme, and it was quite impractical as a uniform. On the other hand, it was sexy as hell, and it fit right in with the '90s comic book aesthetic. In Sue's defense, she had some deeper issues she was struggling with when she wore this particular outfit. But when the amazing amyaimei created the outfit and made it available as a freebie, I knew I had to use it somehow. Thank you so much Amy!

Artist's Note: The (almost) invisible force spheres, shield and foot platforms are actually dinner plates that I used a clear glass shader on.

Created in DAZ 4.2. Sue Richards/Invisible Woman is the property of Marvel Comics. This is a work of fan art. Invisible Girl/Invisible Woman/Susan Storm Richards created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby. First appearance: Fantastic Four #1, 1963.
