I think when Allah said sumthin about women being below men in status / strength, he might have foreseen the time when women characters are mostly staff chick, the Medic and squishy wizards who does HoT or DoT and whose STR stat are below men characters who are warriors, battle mages and tanks who does DPS and Kiting.
And that he foresaw the time where a virtual world will use boobs for ads, make jokes about women driving, women in the kitchen to the point that, it's either Boobs or GTFO and the value of a man is directly proportionate to the rate of getting pussy.
Ho-Kay, so anyone gonna say sumthing about women being equal to men in modern society? NO? thought so.
we can't even reach racial equality, let alone between sexes.
double standards aren't helping either.

As a Muslim, I agree with the comment, but disagree with the image.
Hijab is freedom of expression; This, however, is not the Hijab.
The burka is an old middle-eastern tradition, predating Islam. It's goal was to affirm a woman's status as lower than the man.
The Hijab affirm's a woman's dignity and freedom in society, while the burka merely seeks to demolish it. For this alone, I cannot approve of your artistic statement.

I have no idea where you've got such ridiculous information. It's surprising but I'm seeing a lot of this ignorant view lately. Pre-dates Islaam? Do you even know how people dressed before Islaam?
And you seem to completely misunderstand the meaning of the words 'Hijaab' and 'Burka'. Burka is not even an arabic word. Hijaab means 'screen' to 'conceal completely'. So your post makes absolutely no sense. Furthermore, Hijaab is a command from Allaah, written in the Qur'aan, by rejecting it you've only managed to remove yourself out of the fold of Islaam.
Regardless of whether it is cultural or religious (it actually IS religious but believe whatever you want) the point is that no-one has the right to tell you what you can or cannot wear. Because you 'opine' it to be oppressive - are you going to follow Sarkozi and other sexist, anti-Islaamic morons and FORCE us not to wear what we want to?
Thats a laugh right there.

Where I got my informatio? From my arab parents. From the Sheiks I met. From the Qu'ran.
I do believe I also mentioned not wanting to have anything to do with this group or coversation anymore. Too much ignorance around this place.
May God grant you mercy.

I think a better title would also be "freedom of choice".
Freedom shouldn't be limited to expression, but to choice as well. The problem, obviously, is that choice allows one to willingly be a slave.
