For an eternity the two demons, "Lill" and "Bill", have courted one another through insane dances of chaos, pain, and death, each trying to win a stab at the others heart. Sometimes Lill would steal away with Bill's heart, but this time, as Lill closed around his arm at the dances finally, Bill knew that her heart was his (as well as her other vital organs)

A commission for ~billzbubba . Originally (and probably still) Bill was looking for something a bit different from what i normally do color-wise. He wanted vibrant "in your face" colors but really wanted the "madness" that I tend to put into my work. So, after some discussion, it was decided that I would do the line work and another would do the coloring for his piece.

So, for the first time in a long time, I sat down to get just line work done for the piece. I was, at first, thinking it would be a very easy thing since, after all, I wouldn't have to worry about all the headaches of trying to paint it. All I had to do was the first couple of stages then, poof, it would be out of my hands. However, things never go the way i expect them to.

As I started laying the line work down, I very quickly realized that i would have to do a lot more for this then my usual pieces as I wouldn't be the one painting (or otherwise coloring it). That being the case, i couldn't just put a few lines down to indicate a shadowy messy form in the background or use any of my other shortcuts. I needed to make something that would be clear to whom ever gets it next as to what everything is and what the general plan and layout is, no short-cuts. That, doubled with the fact that my backgrounds are usually formed from watercolor doing what ever the hell it feels like so i don't have to thik about it posed an additional problem for me. I solved it with a bit more lines then would ever appear in one of my paintings, but I think the trick has been done.

Either way, after a good bit more work then I had expected, I finally got the line work done for this piece. If all goes according to plan, then *JTran218 will be the one to color it. I'll link the colors as soon as they come available.

Well, *JTran218 has finished up on the coloring of this piece a little while ago... I'm just slow, but it turned out beautiful!
