Description
Started off as a quick sketch but I kept working on it. I've always been notoriously bad with color in my art, so I tried to really push the color scheme in this one, just to see if I could learn anything. I forced myself to not use any reference or pre-existing palettes whatsoever. I'll be doing more of these, it was a lot of fun- - - - - -

i just came back to DA again and i see this stunning piece. i'm glad that you are pushing yourself to become even better ( even tho i doubt that's even possible ) keep on doing your thing you're a true idol.

Haha I think a lot of it had to do with not having any particular final image in mind while doing this. If you're just winging it as you go, you tend to redo less stuff, which makes things go tons quicker. I had no idea where this piece was going to go, or even if I would finish it, so instead of slaving over anatomy and details and composition like I usually do, I just did it all on a whim
