Ever since Homestuck got dark there hasn't been any real uplifting happy art, which was the bulk of HS art before all this nuttery!I like to think of Tavros and Gamzee as good friends, Gamzee pushing Tavros to think out of the box and do crazier things and live life (like ride his wheelchair down a giant funhill motherfuckin motherfucker!!), and Tavros being trusting enough to let him get talked/pushed into it because Gamzee actually has good intentions and wants him to have fun. (I know, this sentiment seems totally creepy. I started drawing this BEFORE Gamzee flipped his shit.)

It's really huge and a daunting task. There are hundreds upon hundreds if not thousands of pages. I pushed through it for Colin mostly because he liked it so much, then ended up liking it a lot.

Honestly kind of hard to explain without going in depth! It's certainly one of those things you kind of just get more as you keep reading. I was so confused for like half the comic.

I miss all the fun silly art. I mean I like dark, bloody, violent things too but... not-crazy Gamzee I still prefer over psycho Gamzee.
And all the fun shenanigans that he'd try to talk his friends into.

Right? It's nice to get it out of your system and express your feelings toward the now serious turn in Homestuck, but even Hussie himself said; new Homestuck followers take HS too seriously! It's a funny webcomic, and even comedies have sad parts.
Gamzee is such an integral part to a lot of their friendships I think!
