Designed along with Kai's Ilúric armor, the Fist of Justice, this blade is also designed to channel its user's Ilúric energy into the blade, creating vibrations of the molecules which released very high levels of thermal, sonic and microwave radiation, heating the blade and enabling it to cut through almost any substance easily.
To compare it to existing sci-fi weapons, this sword functions sort of similar to a cross between the "Fukushahadou" radiation arm used by the Guren, from the anime series Code Geass, and the "hi-frequency blades" used by the cyborg ninja from Metal Gear Solid. But don't get me wrong I fucking hate Chode Gayass.

That's a cool looking weapon! It almost reminds me of Strider Hiryu's cipher weapon from the Strider games.

Yeah Strider is a minor influence in my stuff. I haven't even played that much of it but it looks like an excellent series.
Kai went from being a Kazuma ripoff to being more his own character when I gave him a sword and decided that his armor doesn't just form on his body like in Scryed. I went with something my friend suggested and made him a cyborg...well, he becomes a cyborg later on in the series but I don't wanna give away too much.
And though he uses a sword he prefers fighting with his superpowered metal fists.
