Just Rainbow Dash in a new style here, with slightly more realistic proportions. Somewhat inspired by one of ~Jacquibim 's pony pictures I saw recently, and also yes, this is one of the few pony pictures I've drawn that have traditional pencil outlines, albeit colored in Photoshop to more easily match MLP: FiM's art style. Actually quite proud of this picture.Edit (6/17/2012): Made things 20% cooler by adding cutie mark and background. Thanks to ~kjetil2 for the cutie mark vector, and Celestia knows who for the aged paper background. Okay I think old paper is officially my most overused background texture ever...

Awww thanks! Yeah and did I tell you? I watched the first two episodes of MLP FiM with my mom last week, and she loved them! Fluttershy is her favorite pony I think, and she says she wants to watch more episodes with me sometime! I think I may have turned my mom into a pegasister!

Yeah, she also thought Princess Luna was adorable when she hugged Celestia after turning good again. That scene made me Dawww as well. Although she thought Pinkie Pie crying with joy and then IMMEDIATELY throwing a party for everyone afterwards was just plain silly. Good old Pinkie Pie...

Wow thank you so much, yeah my friend told me he thought this was my best shading job he's ever seen, and he's not even a fan of the show. I take that as an extreme compliment that even a non-brony likes my pony art!

Yeah I had trouble with these back legs as well, and I still didn't think I got them 100% perfectly. However the biggest problem I have with this picture is how I drew the raised foreleg...it ended up looking kinda off for some reason, and I couldn't use any reference picture of ponies in a similar pose because of the way I drew the more detailed and "realistic" legs here, which the drawing style in the show doesn't have.

The final segment is just a tiny bit too long, and there needs to be a little kink in it to represent the actual hoof. Still, practice makes perfect.

Thanks, I'm still editing the picture and I've since corrected a few mistakes, and added her cutie mark and a background. I will swap this current file for the updated on in just a little bit here.

What Pinkie Pie one? Nah actually it was a picture he drew of a MLP-style cartoon deer, actually not a pony at all, but I liked the way he drew the back legs so it inspired me to draw a pony with slightly more "realistic" proportions on the legs and head.

Very good. But the way you made her raised foreleg look makes it look like it belongs more on a mantis than a pony.

Yeah, I was kind of wondering if I did something wrong there...that was one of the parts I drew on my own, without any point of reference. I'd bet that if I actually studied more how pony legs are articulated then I might have gotten it right. Bear in mind I drew her legs somewhat differently here than in the show, so it was pretty hard to find reference pictures.

And as you can see I corrected a few mistakes and reloaded the deviation. I recommend checking it out again, it looks a lot better now.
