I`ve got idea from one comment which I really liked. It`s idea was "The Cold War is like competition between girls. If men try to show each other who is the best they do it with the help of fists, girl shows how strongly she despises with words: "You know we`re really get along! We`are just like BFF! But my friends are better, my boyfriend is better and even my bag is better than yours!"Fem!Russia and Fem!America from Hetalia.

Space Race. Funny in many cases. Just compare how Americans and Russians see it. American think they won Space race because the aim of Space Race was moon (by words of American president to American nation) and I saw list of one American magazine where among greatest events of 20th century Moon landing was on the 2nd place and First man in space on 61th place or something like this. The most funniest all top almost fully dedicates to USA. And D-Day is shown as more important event than Battle of Stalingrad. Someone gives link for this top we laugh on forum all together here in Russia. We think we won Space Race just because we had much more achievements in space and first man in space for me the greatest thing ever. The first words in space were pronounced in Russian. Yaa!

As for WW2 I read an article (I think it was NYT) which said that America gave money, USSR gave blood and GB gave time. And no sigle word about other allies.

I'd better give money than blood And USA just became richer after this war but we were almost fully destroyed in all spheres.
Germans had good chance to be first in everything linked with space. And now they don't have their Space program. Strange world.
Agree here, people often don't mention Canada's help. He worths more place among allies than France. France sold products to Germans and doesn't live really bad during WW2.

WW2 is a sensitive subject. I believe monsters, victims and heroes were on both sides. I guess in the future it would be better to put more efforts into negotiation than to declare a war.
