)Time for a laugh I think...
No, this is not a manipulation ! Caught this by pure luck in Pisa, blinded by the sun I didn't even see the bird entering the frame. So sorry for the not-perfect quality... But enjoy the shot !

Its crazy because it looks almost exactly like that actual photos just before impact. Kind of a dark humor. One of those really cool photo mistakes.

Wild shot! And you know--that tower's really leaning...too far over!!
Do they let you climb it now? When I was there (in 2000) it was off limits--engineers were trying to shore up the foundations a bit--looks like they were successful to some degree!

They do let you climb it now... For something like 50 euros !!! They have a whole list of recommendations : the people who musn't do this for they will tire too easily (kids, pregnant women, old people), and a thousand other things, to discourage you
Which is pretty funny because the tower really musn't be that hard to climb. We went up the more-than-300 steps of the Bell Tower in Florence by a really really hot day, a young women even fainted near the top

Wow, 50 euros--that's enough to stop most people I suspect! Yes, I recall the exhausting climb up the Florence tower (on the same trip), but the view from up there was quite fantastic! The Arno valley and the surrounding hills...oh, to be back there--someday soon, I hope!

Indeed! Too much to see for one lifetime! And you know, I missed the Uffizi--it was closed for renovations at the time! So, I must go back--that's all there is to the matter!!

You were fortunate! The queue was several hours long for us...but then in the square there were several pieces worth looking at (like Cellini's Perseus)--and no waiting!
