Oh, you're a Gaiman-fan as well? I tried to create Death in Gaiman's manner...
Really glad you like the piece.

Wow, it's a great honor if another Gaiman-fan thinks it worked out. I wasn't sure at first...thank you!

I love the idea and what you did to those photographs. Although somehow the face of the death looks a bit out of place. I think it's her expression.

Hm, what exactly about her expression? I wanted her to look cheeky, upp to no good, but friendly...like Sandman's Death...

Don'T tell me I put up the wrong pieces, since Famine had a textured frame as the others. But with Famine-textures (I didn't use the same texture for every single piece because...they wouldn't have fit).
I wanted to give every single piece its very own personality. They should stand on their own and have their very own and personal character traits. The concept is the same for all of them.
...but war needs a neck, don't you think? What's shown/presented when someone capitulates? The neck and the throat...war presents his and mocks everyone...because he will never give up, he will always fight on.
Death has a frame, seriously...and my screen is hellishly dark...

To me it looks as if Famine had two frames, a textured outer one and an untextured inner one that is visible at the top and bottom only, but not at the sides. Do you see what I mean?
I like how they all have a personality of their own and you're probably right, War needs a neck and throat if viewed from that perspective. Makes sense. Maybe War also likes standing out from the rest, having his head up in a proud way for everyone to see...

Hm, still weird...I really don't see what you're describing. Nevermind...
War is arrogant, war thinks of himself as more important than anything else...

Well it's not that important anyway.

creepy family i must say. i hope to not meet any of them too soon cos life aint any easier with them. well aside from death.. death sometimes has a pro tag on her chest for she is salvation (sometimes).

Very true. Death is the only one we can't escape...and she isn'T that bad...at least I don'T think she is.
Famine or pestilence and especially war are far worse...

Not sure if you've ever read The Sandman...but the image of death there is this little giddy and perky little goth girl, always in a very good mood, cheery, enjoying life, loving people...but she happens to be death. I think death is like her...

I haven't had the chance yet to read the Hitchhiker-books, but will have so if I worked down my way on the reading list.
The Sandman...well, you will have to buy 10 books...but they are all worth it. And I know a shop where you can get them all...

I can actually predict that this time will come. As soon as you're caught up in the Endless and the Dreaming there is no escape...

I am really glad the process of decay and destruction is visible...looking at the final piece is scary sometimes. Even though the faces I've given them are fictional...the concepts are real and exist...

Nice work
Like your frame game
Don't know why but it makes me think about the Adam's Family

Unfortunately, the family depicted is not half as funny as the Addam's family...
