That's it! I'm finished! No more ponies, I swear to you. Unless this is something people enjoy?
Fanart never fails to get more attention than original things, that is certain... I'll just have to see if something else catches my eye and pulls me in another direction.
For now, though, I've done all the humanized My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic (c) I intended to do, and then some.
First was the Mane Six [link] (with a quick redux [link] ), then the Princesses of Equestria [link]

There, the Mayor of Ponyville and the zebra enchantress herself, Zecora. New headcanon - they're best drinking buddies and mostly at the Grand Galloping Gala for the booze.

I liked the original design I had going for the Mayor... but as I actually drew it out, it failed the first time, and all subsequent times it just kept turning out a little off. I ended up taking a tiny notebook sketch and extrapolating it from there. I'd started hers after I'd completely finished Zecora, so I really just wanted to wrap it up. For her design, I kept her downplayed and stately, incorporating the color of her usual ascot as a mayor sash (a la Joe Quimby.)
I'm not sure if I managed to encorporate enough Zecora-ness into her design - since she seems like an older and wiser character, I didn't want to stick her in as, hem, loud a gown as the others, and so kept the zebra stripes as a hem, with softer earth tones for the rest. Same reason I had her hair longer and down, rather than mohawked.
