Thanks, the red on the scarf was an after-thought.

"The man in black fled across the desert, and the gunslinger followed." - this is what I thought when I first saw this piece, and the title 'The Rose' kind of gives it away too. Truly wonderful work.

The best opening line to a book ever.
Thanks

I love the entire series but that first book just blew me away. Instant imagination overload.

I think books 3 and 4 are my favourites, and rank as Stephen King's best work (along with The Stand) The Wind Through The Keyhole is great too. I wasn't a fan of book 6 and 7 is patchy. Second best series after A Song of Ice and Fire in my opinion.

Ahhh, now ASOIAF is my absolute tops. I think the first is important to me as it completely drew me in to the Dark Tower series. It is fantastic, definitely one of my favourite series. Wizard and Glass and the final book are up there for me.

I have featured this deviation in my journal as a thumbnail because I like it and want my watchers to see it.

If you object to your work being displayed in this manor - I have every respect for you and will remove it as soon as I receive a note from you asking me to remove it.

Keep up the really great work.

Well I'm very impressed with the "just a quick painting" that you did. I dig the mood and the manliness in it, the beard's my favorite part to stare at.

Nice execution, fine colour choice...

It took about an hour, over 5-6 separate periods, mostly for drying time. I'm always concerned I can't stick to a painting for days, months, years like some folks. Oh well.

Thanks for the kind words.

I think I can relate, some times the inspiration that you have in the moment just have to be put down and expressed before it's gone and you might be in a different mood the next day...

No problem, meant it
